The Yamaha RXV-665 AV receiver helps you experience the full potential of HD audio and video. The Yamaha RXV-665 AV receiver is fully compatible with HD audio and video. Featuring HD Audio decoding with four 1080p HDMI inputs, 1080p video up scaling, Pure Direct, YPAO, CINEMA DSP 3D and custom installation features.

AV receivers
AV receivers are one of the many consumer electronics components typically found within a home theatre system. Their primary purpose is to amplify sound from a multitude of possible audio sources as well as route video signals to your TV from various sources. The user may program and configure a unit to take inputs from devices such as DVD players, VCRs etc. and easily select which source you want to route to your TV and have sound output for.

HD Audio Decoding
Advanced audio decoding of uncompressed sounds through the receiver built-in decoders is marvelous. Clarity in low frequencies, parametric and higher frequencies such as treble is felt right away. Six channel analog processing of PCM audio which is already decoded inside the HD DVD or Blu-ray players is also impressive.

4 HDMI Inputs
This is a new interface standard for high definition receivers. HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. If you are looking for an high definition receiver, it should have at least one of these connectors.

YPAO Yamaha's Parametric Room Acoustics Optimizer
The Yamaha YPAO system is comprised of a ten band (seven users) parametric equalizer (not graphical) which adjusts level, frequency, and Q factor. Graphical equalizers adjust only amplitude response at fixed frequency bands.

Video up scaling
Video up scaling contains a scaler, which allows the user to convert lower resolution content into a signal that the display device will handle as high definition content. Depending on the quality of the scaling that is done within the up scaling receiver, the result output quality of the video displayed may or may not be improved. By performing the scaling closer to the source inside the receiver, the video scaler gets to work with the original signal without the concern of transmission error or interference.

Pure Direct / Multi-zone operation
Pure Direct is a special listening mode that causes the signal to bypass all but the most basic audio circuitry, and even turns off the display to prevent any chance of noise interference. The Yamaha RXV-765 AV receiver offer multi-zone operation for premium customized audio entertainment throughout the home.

Cinema DSP 3D
Yamaha's CINEMA DSP technology is far more sophisticated than ordinary surround sound systems. Using massive acoustic data and powerful processing techniques, you will hear sharply detailed, precisely located sound that is actually closer to what the director intended than what you hear in a movie theatre. The wide range of programmers lets you select the sound that is best for the type of movie you are watching.
