    The Sharp LC46LE700UN combines Sharp's leadership in LCD technology with the advantages of LED backlighting. Sharp's Ultra Brilliant LED system illuminates the TV to very high brightness and contrast levels and enables such environmental benefits as longer lamp life expectancy, no heavy metals, and lower power consumption. The XGen LCD Panel uses an ingenious pixel design that allows more light to pass through even while minimizing light leakage.

    UltraBrilliant LED Backlight System
    A full array of LEDs evenly dispersed behind a diffuser results in more uniformity. The light emitting diodes enable high brightness and color purity. They have a life expectancy of 100,000 hours and are highly energy efficient.

    Full HD 1080p XGen LCD Panel
    Including 10-bit processing and Crystalucent coating, this high definition TV is designed with advanced pixel control that puts a lid on light leakage in portions of the picture that demand to be dark while simultaneously providing a wider aperture in areas that require brightness. These opposite needs translate to an extremely high contrast level. Sharp calls its open wide shut LCD technology the Spectral Contrast Engine MC.
