The Pioneer VSX-1019AHK is a testament to pristine sound and pure digital enjoyment. The Pioneer VSX-1019AHK is built with Advanced Direct Energy Power Amplifiers, Advanced MCACC room calibration with a 9-band Symmetric EQ, Phase Control, Advanced Sound Retriever, Auto Level Volume Control, and 13 Advanced Surround Mode options this unbelievably powerful receiver delivers more ways to experience Home Theater sound than previously believed possible.

    The Super Audio Compact Disc uses a revolutionary technology called Direct Stream Digital (DSD) encoding, for recording and playback. SACDs have the most faithful and highest-quality sound available. DSD one-bit encoding strips away entire classes of distortion that have always characterized the PCM recording method used with standard CD formats. Upper frequency ranges can go up as high as 100,000Hz with a Signal/Noise Ratio to an outstanding 120dB. A typical SACD can hold up to 6-times the data of an ordinary CD. This means that, in addition to offering the finest stereo sound, recordings can now offer surround sound and may even include accompanying text and graphics. Though SACD is play compatible on virtually all ordinary CD players, an SACD player will present the full breadth and dimension that an SACD can deliver.

    A tuner is a device that allows a user to select channels of possible broadcast information along a bandwidth of frequencies. On a TV the tuner allows you to select which channels you want to view from available frequencies. On a radio, the tuner allows you to select AM, FM, Shortwave, even XM or Sirius frequencies for listening.
