Dynamic & Clear 7.1 Channel Surround Sound Reproduction
Cinematic 8-channel audio is a commercial surround sound standard that adds two speakers to the more conventional and consumer-oriented 6-channel (7.1) audio set-up. 8-channel positional audio utilizes the standard front, center, and LFE (bass) speaker configuration, but in addition, includes two speakers positioned by the side and two by the backside. Using such a sound configuration, almost every angle of sound can, theoretically, be captured for a completely immersive experience. For placement, the front speakers should be placed at the edges of the screen, toed in to face the central listening location, and the tweeters should be ear height. The center speaker should be placed behind the screen (when using projection) or over or under a TV, and as close to ear height as possible. Side channel speakers should be placed on side walls, to the left and right of the listening position, equidistant from the front speakers and the rear speakers. Rear channel speakers should be placed on side walls, slightly behind the listening position, and should have a normal high-quality monopolar construction. Front speakers should be at ear height and surrounds should be above ear height.

VIERA Link
Viera Link, Panasonic's name for the HDMI control interface. Basically, the remote takes advantage of HDMI's ability to carry commands through a system, instead of just audio, video and DRM. What that means is you get universal control of your HDMI home theater equipment, without having to worry about trying to figure out which IR to aim for. Just point the remote at the one IR on your TV, and the signal will travel over the HDMI wires to the right piece of equipment. Of course, Viera Link is currently Panny-only, but should work with other HDMI devices that comply with industry specs.

1080/24p Playback
In video technology, 24p refers to a video format that operates at 24 frames per second (or typically, 23.976frame/s when using equipment based around NTSC frame rates) frame rate with progressive scanning (not interlaced). 24p formats are being increasingly used for aesthetic reasons in image acquisition, delivering film-like motion characteristics.

Deep Color is a term used to describe a method of representing graphical image data using an extremely large number of shades, hues and luminosities, capable of displaying billions of possible colors. It is often employed when display media have a very wide color gamut. Deep Color is sometimes referred to as the successor to True color.
