    The JVC DRM-V80 tuner-free DVD+VHS recorder with versatile compatible formats include Div X(R), featuring Timer Link Recording, HDMI Output with 1080p/720p Up-Conversion (DVD/VHS).

    Timer Link Recording
    Timer-link recording simplifies recording with an external set-top box such as a cable tuner or a satellite receiver. The timer-link feature senses the signal, automatically powers up and begins recording.

    I Link Connection
    I Link is the brand name for Sony's IEEE 1394 interface. This is a personal computer, digital audio, and digital video serial bus interface standard that offer high speed communications and isochronous real time data services. i.Link is the Sony Corporations implementation of the IEEE 1394 standard, used for the connection of devices to your personal computer. A single plug and socket connection is provided by i.Link that can have up to 63 devices connected. The data transfer speeds are up to 400 megabits per second.

    Dolby Digital/DTS Digital Output
    Dolby Digital, or AC-3, is the common version containing up to six discrete channels of sound. The most elaborate mode in common usage involves five channels for normal-range speakers (20 Hz - 20,000 Hz) (right front, center, left front, right rear and left rear) and one channel (20 Hz - 120 Hz allotted audio) for the subwoofer driven low-frequency effects. Mono and stereo modes are also supported. AC-3 supports audio sample-rates up to 48 kHz. Dolby DTS is a multi-channel digital surround sound format used for both commercial/theatrical and consumer grade applications. It is used for in-movie sound both on film and on DVD, on CD and during the last few years of the Laserdisc format's existence, several releases had DTS soundtracks.

    A graphical user interface is a type of user interface which allows people to interact with electronic devices such as computers; hand-held devices such as MP3 Players, Portable Media Players or Gaming devices; household appliances and office equipment. A GUI offers graphical icons, and visual indicators, as opposed to text-based interfaces, typed command labels or text navigation to fully represent the information and actions available to a user. The actions are usually performed through direct manipulation of the graphical elements.
