    The Toshiba 37AV502 LCD TV combines quality, style, and value.     In technology, response time is the time a system or functional unit takes to react to a given input. Response time is the amount of time a pixel in an LCD monitor takes to go from black to white and back to black again. It is measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower numbers mean faster transitions and therefore fewer visible image artifacts.

    ColorStream HD Component
    ColorStream HD is a video-display standard that rose into popularity with the advent of high-resolution applications such as DVD players and High-definition television. It also provides a theoretically more direct path from the source to the display, with less up, down, and signal conversions. It uses three cables for video only, as opposed to the one cable that the majority of alternative formats requires, and is available on most of the newer extended definition displays, and roughly all DVD players currently produced.

    Cinema Mode 24 FPS (3:2 Pull down)
    In the United States and other countries with television using 60Hz vertical scanning frequency, video is broadcast at 29.97 frame/s. For the film's motion to be accurately rendered on the video signal, a telecine must use a technique called the 3:2 pull down to convert from 24 to 29.97 frame/s. The term "pull down" comes from the mechanical process of  "pulling" the film down to advance it from one frame to the next at a repetitive rate.

    Dolby Digital Optical Output
    Dolby Digital, or AC-3, is the common version containing up to six discrete channels of sound. The most elaborate mode in common usage involves five channels for normal-range speakers (20 Hz - 20,000 Hz) (right front, center, left front, right rear and left rear) and one channel (20 Hz - 120 Hz allotted audio) for the subwoofer driven low-frequency effects. Mono and stereo modes are also supported.
