    TV playback of iPod video content is more convenient than ever, the JVC LCD TVs with a built-in iPod dock. When an iPod is docked, a menu appears on the TV screen for selecting music, music shuffle or video playback. iPod can be controlled from the TV's remote, which includes a circular keypad with a control scheme that mimics the iPod's control wheel. Photos can also be displayed as a slide show along with music. During music playback, song title and artist name are displayed on the TV screen. During video playback, low resolution files, such as internet videos, can be displayed in a small screen mode. Higher resolution video can be shown in nine aspect modes at full screen. There's also the option to play music files while the TV displays television programming. In addition, the iPod will charge while docked whether the TV's power is on or off. Besides the iPod dock and playback features, JVC's P-Series LCD TVs are full featured high definition displays with a cabinet design that conveys the sets' focus on both audio and video performance.

    iPod compatibility

    13000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio
    The contrast ratio is a measure of a display system, defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest color (white) to that of the darkest color (black) that the system is capable of producing. A high contrast ratio is a desired aspect of any display, but with the various methods of measurement for a system or its part, remarkably different measured values can sometimes produce similar results.

    6.5ms response time
    In technology, response time is the time a system or functional unit takes to react to a given input. Response time is the amount of time a pixel in an LCD monitor takes to go from black to white and back to black again. It is measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower numbers mean faster transitions and therefore fewer visible image artifacts.

    Natural Cinema (3-2 Pull Down)
    In the United States and other countries with television using 60Hz vertical scanning frequency, video is broadcast at 29.97 frame/s. For the film's motion to be accurately rendered on the video signal, a telecine must use a technique called the 3:2 pull down to convert from 24 to 29.97 frame/s. The term "pull down" comes from the mechanical process of  "pulling" the film down to advance it from one frame to the next at a repetitive rate.

    ENERGY STAR compliant
    ENERGY STAR qualified televisions use 30% less energy than average. In November 2008, television specifications will be improved to limit on-mode power use, in addition to standby power which is limited by the current specifications. A wider range of ENERGY STAR qualified televisions will be available. Other qualified home electronics include cordless phones, battery chargers, VCRs and external power adapters, most of which use 90% less energy.
