    Goodyear's branding is prominent on the GY145 and its siblings-right down to the tire-tread design along the sides of the device. Aside from the obligatory company logo, you get Goodyear splash screens, Goodyear auto repair centers in the POI database, and a zippered, logo-emblazoned carrying case. 
         
    Predictive text entry
    The GY145 also supports predictive text entry, so as you enter letters, only the available letters remain highlighted for selection. The GY145 shows tabs across the top of the keyboard appear as possible choices for cities you may be trying to enter. You typically get three city matches, and a fourth tab brings up a scroll with more possible matches.

    Route Calculation
    When the GY145 is done calculating your route, the device returns to the navigation map view. From there, tapping the route information icon in the lower right-hand corner takes you to a menu that lets you see an overview of your route, a turn-by-turn list, or a list of avoidances.

    2D versus 3D map view option
    You can easily toggle between 3D, 2D north up, and 2D track up views from the map view. You get zoom in/out icons on the right-hand side of the screen and a volume control icon on the left. In the map view, you see the next street, along with a turn arrow at the top of the screen, while at the bottom of the screen you'll find remaining distance and trip time, as well as ETA.
